Review of Four Last Songs (2007) by Olivia K — 12 Jul 2007
This film is tagged as "a romantic comedy about life, love, and music" - but I must admit that it wasn't very romantic or funny. Jena Malone's performance was slightly satisfying and Rhys Ifans was eccentrically entertaining as always, but something was just missing from this film. There were holes in the dialog and it was unclear as to what direction, or mood if you will, they were trying to provoke with the script.
It was almost good. Just almost. And be warned, the ending is really disappointing and cliche.
