Review of Four Days in September (1997) by Bruno L — 10 Apr 2010
One of the best movies from Brazil. An excellent 60's-era political thriller. The cast is excellent and the story is for the most part true. I was surprised that the American actor, Alan Arkin was in the cast.
The film portrays both sides of a very passionate and sympathetic 1960's revolutionary revolt. Fascinating story, told, in part, through the letters written by the Ambassador to his fearful wife. Intellegent and thoughtful.
Riveting examiniation of torture, especially in our post-9/11 world. The ending was also very touching.
