Review of Four Christmases (2008) by Azi T — 29 Nov 2010
The thing that really killed this movie was the fact that it tried to introduce too many characters. With the two main characters and their four different families, you were never able to become attached to anyone. By then end of the movie, you don't care about what happens to anyone. The romance between Vaughn and Witherspoon isn't exactly typical but it isn't very original. 20 minutes into the film, I was able to figure out what was going to happen. It's not a very confusing plot to figure out.
The performances by the actors and actresses are sub-par. The families are all stereotypes as well as almost every character in the movie.
There were a few chuckles in Four Christmases, but not anything to really laugh at. The romance is stereotypical along with the plot. I don't plan on watching this movie again.
