Review of Four Christmases (2008) by Necro — 09 May 2010
Predictable, but a pleasant 'couples comedy': there's lots of crazy situations to make you laugh, but of course it has a soft, heartwarming centre. Vaughn does his usual schtick (so if you're not a fan consider yourself warned) and Witherspoon keeps up pretty well, which surprised me because I didn't think they'd work together at all.
The fantastic supporting actors do the best they can with their over-the-top characters with only the fathers (Duvall and Voight) getting to add a little depth in the serious moments near the end. I wouldn't make plans to see it, but it's worth ninety minutes of your time if given the opportunity.
