Review of Four Brothers (2005) by Ducknation — 24 May 2014
Four Brothers is a decent action movie but thats about it dont get me wrong I enjoyed the film buts its nothing like John Singleton's first film "Boyz n the Hood" it seems since then he cant really capture the magic that movie had.
His latest movie "Abduction" starring Taylor Lautner was just unwatchable crap. Still though its the cast that makes this movie watchable Mark Wahlberg, Tyrese Gibson, André Benjamin, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Garrett Hedlund, Terrence Howard all really likable actors.
The story is nothing new but its the solid performances by the actors that keep the movie going. The over the top action cut with witty humor was definitely a fresh feeling from all the other action movies in 2005 which the exception of 2 maybe 3 were terrible.
Overall I give it a 6.5 id recommend a watch but its not a movie that I would call a must watch action movie.
