Review of Foster (2011) by Barry T — 19 Nov 2012
Toni Collette hugely enhances a mawkish, rose-tinted screenplay which skates along on a glossy sheen, but doesn't have much depth to it. There's a feeling of 'been here before', and a lack of anything surprising.
That said, it is a huge step up from Newman's previous effort.
