Review of Fortress (1992) by Ray D — 24 Aug 2008
It's one of the most original & disturbing cinematic prisons, but everything else is weak. Laughably irrational & one-dimensional characters, ridiculously contrived sequences involving the stupidest choices, and its heavyhanded "messages" are rendered laughable by film's overall shabbiness.
One of the lowest points in Stuart Gordon's career, sadly.
