The first of the masterful John Ford's cavalry trilogy. A perfect example of Ford's work. Henry Fonda is brilliant, along with the supporting cast (Victor McGlagen most noteworthy) displaying a humorous scene around barrels of cheap whiskey that must be burned.
Ford at the top of his game.
