The acting and screenwriting was pretty well done , and forest himself was pretty well centered as a dimwit who became a giant ping pong player, war vet, and ,shrimp business owner. tom hanks portayes him as well as he was in the book , a dimwit who has no sense of what most things are.

the one problem I have with it is to just to do what people tell you to , the phrase run forest , run eans to go with whatever people tell you to do.
