Forrest Gump is a fantastic movie. It is a bit far fetched in the fact that the main character Forrest is at every major event in the 1950s reaching the 1980s but showing those events actually gives a good history lesson.
Not only is this movie full of historical events but it is a comedy and a romance story. Forrest falls in love with his childhood sweetheart and chases after her for his entire life. She eventually realizes that she can no longer shun his love because she does love him too and that's the best man she's ever met.
Forrest lives an eventful and happy life.
