It's been a while since I've been so captivated by a movie. I loved the ambience, even though it wasn't shot in Taiwan (too controversial so it had to be Tahiland) and the actors. Most Taiwanese actors politely declined the roles not to put their careers in Mainland in a difficult position. This film is much likely to spark a debate and reflection on Taiwan and its history, its future...
The low IMDB rating came as a surprise as the film is quite pleasant: acting, sets, light and photography.
