Review of Forks Over Knives (2011) by Nancy S — 09 May 2011
A great documentary on the benefits of eating a plant-based diet. It barely touched on the traditional pro-vegie ethical and environmental considerations (why this informed omnivore is in a dilemma and struggles with not liking her vegetables).
It does offer a convincing though slightly biased propaganda viewpoint from scientists and data. But it's all in the name of health, and that's something I can believe in. So although I'm a skeptical scientist wanting to know both sides of the the story with the numbers, if the message gets more people to eat whole foods and less processed, fried, and fast foods, I'm alright with that.
