Review of Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008) by Kevinh. — 17 Apr 2008
[***(Minor) SPOILER***] I've been on the Judd Apatow train for awhile and rank he and his cohorts as the reigning Mel Brooks team for the new millenia. "Sarah" doesn't disappoint for his fans and brings some very agreeable new players into the fold.
Kristen Bell and Mila Kunis break through the TV screen limitations and show they can carry the big screen - Kunis proves she can actually act beyond what we've seen on That 70s Show... she should have been cast in a role like this a decade ago.
Jason Segal, the movie's star and writer, proves an affable, sad sack chump. The real breakout star is the guy who plays the Brit rock'n roller. A great part very well enhanced by the actor.
It's raunchy, sex-laden, hilarious and a great movie for adults and horny teens. Watch out for Jason's penis on numerous occasions and for the amazing puppet play that ends the film. If you like sharp gross-out filcks, go see it.
