Review of Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008) by Danny K — 05 Mar 2012
Segel could not have played a better heartbroken man. His performance is not only what makes this movie so funny, but what makes it so emotional at times as well. Think about it: we've all been there before, and Segel portrays that feeling of nothingness so well.
But at the same time, he takes the screenplay and makes it comedic. Mila Kunis turns in a heartwarming performance, and Bell and Brand's side acts add to the humor in the film. It ends up being one of those romantic comedies that rises above any common cliches and is one of those movies you can watch time and time again and still laugh.
