Review of Forever Strong (2008) by Hendrix J — 04 Aug 2008
A strong movie about being connected and the travails of growing up now. It also was a very strong message movie without being saccharine. Perhaps a little too long, bit it worked. Sean Faris looked like a young Tom Cruise (and, he's a better actor).
A lot of good character acting.I also liked the way the movie dealt with race - there was no PC here, people were just people and it was their character that differentiated them. The Haka that they do in the movie and their team colors come from the New Zealand national rugby team - probably the best ruggers in the world.
This story is based upon a real Rugby team out west.
