Review of Forever Strong (2008) by Tammy S — 31 May 2009
It is a sports movie so you know it will be contrived and will have plenty of cliches, yet Forever Strong worked for me. It has been a while since I have really enjoyed a sports flick (Gridiron Gang, Facing the Giants, and Pride were let downs in my mind) but Forever Strong made me remeber why I love these types of movie.
The messeage behing the movie is a good one and isn't made to cheesy due to over emphasis of said message throughout the movie. I wish it might have had a bit more actual game footage but I'll take a rugby movie any way I can get it.
A good family movie even for those who aren't sports fans (but hey how many wives have actually seen a Rugby match? They can't say I hate rugby like they can football!).
