Review of Forever My Girl (2018) by Isaac M — 17 Jan 2018
Terrible. Honestly terrible. All cardboard actors with lackluster performances aside from the little girl (who screeches way too much), who ends up being downsized as a character and loses the sass that made her a decent character to begin with.
The editing is bad too, culminating in a frustratingly clumsy scene in which the background changes from dusk to dawn, then settling back to around midnight, in a scene which IS SUPPOSED TO BE A RIDE HOME, NOT A CROSS COUNTRY ROAD TRIP.
I personally loathe this movie so much. I appreciate what they tried to do, but with the heavy amount of product placement (looking at you Gibson, Ford, and Facebook), the generally unlikeable characters, the god-awful dialogue and utterly predictable events in the movie, not to mention that it tries to remind us of movies such as The Last Song and oddly enough, The Game Plan by SHAMELESSLY RIPPING THEM OFF.
Do not waste your time going to see this movie like I did. It's seriously not worth it.
