Review of Foreign Correspondent (1940) by Tracy S — 18 Feb 2008
This movie starts out incredibly promising, and the Dutch windmills are one of Hitch's greatest set-pieces. Unfortunately, by halfway through, I had completely lost track of what exactly the point of all this was, as the stakes were never terribly clear.
This confusion drags the film into mediocrity until the hilarious plane crash makes the film greatly enjoyable again, though not for the right reasons. I do love George Sanders, though, so it wasn't a total sink.
