Review of Foreign Correspondent (1940) by I Don't Know W — 21 Jun 2011
Alfred Hitchcock's Foreign Correspondent is a suspencive and well made picture with the right cast that doesn't goes over the top, Joel McCrea with his ordinary look and no special voice make us feel for him in any situation just like in Sullivan's Travels.
This is the story about the american jounarlist Johnny Jones (McCrea) who is just been apointed as the foreign correspondent to cover the situation in Europe at the time (World War I) and he's sendt to Netherlands to cover the speech of Van Meer who is the leader of a peace organisation.
But he's being kidnaped by german spies and ofcorse Johnny has no other choice then involve himself in this case, if he will make a great story. Thumbs up.
