Review of Forces of Nature (2012) by J A — 06 Nov 2007
This was "A Guy Thing" before "A Guy Thing" was "A Guy Thing". Instead of Jason Lee you have Ben Affleck, instead of Julia Stiles you get Sandra Bullock and best of all instead of Smell-ma uh I mean Selma Blair you get Maura Tierney. It's the same story, guy is engaged, he meets a new, fun, interestingly quirky girl and begins to get cold feet. In "A Guy Thing" Jason Lee calls off the wedding and ends up with the kooky girl while his fiance finds love with the best man. "Forces of Nature" is much more realistic in it's ending Affleck kicks himself in the brain and says "What the hell am I thinking!?!?!?! I'm engaged to a beautiful women who I've been in love with for years why the FUCK would I walk away from that for a complete stranger!!!!".
You can tell just by looking into his soulffull eyes that Ben Affleck's the kind of guy who'd never betray you. *sigh*.
