Review of Forces of Nature (1999) by John G — 26 Jan 2010
The forces of Nature in the title, which brought Ben and Bridget together, threaten to tear them apart. Happily engaged, Ben has to fly to Savannah for his wedding. On the airpoart he meets an exciting stranger, Sarah, played by Sandra Bullock. The plane crashes before takeoff and Ben has to take care of Sarah, who is unconscious after the crash. A series of calamities ensues (a rainshower, a thunder hitting their car, Sarah's wallet being stolen), and, worst of all, Ben becomes attracted to the spontaneous Sarah, making him reconsider his decision to marry Bridget...
Sandra Bullock is great at playing quirky characters. But the ending ruined the movie for me.
