A young Norwegian couple are vacationing at a ski resort with their two young children. During lunch on an outdoor veranda, a controlled avalanche appears to run out of control and menaces the diner. Dad runs away, leaving his wife and children to fend for themselves.

It turns out to be a false alarm, but this one act starts a chain of events that threatens the unity of the family ... and even extends to the relationships of close friends. An incredibly dark satire about relationships and what we and our expectations bring to them.
