Review of Force Majeure (2014) by Brent_Marchant — 10 Jan 2015
An incisively written black comedy about what can happen when everything comes tumbling down, just like in the avalanche that serves as the film's seminal event and sparks a host of reactions from those affected.
Expectations and dysfunction get put on trial, whether they arise from "legitimate" or "manufactured" origins, with biting wit and irony. It also makes us take a hard look at matters of perspective and management of our personal power, whether in our actions, responses to life circumstances and expected gender roles.
