Review of Forbidden Zone (1982) by Jennifer-Grace M — 16 Sep 2008

Nightmare fuel, like something David Lynch could have directed if he didn't have the good sense not to. I'm actually torn on this one - it's inventive and its best moments are really great, but it crosses a few too many lines.

Something about the "shock value" humor here just doesn't sit right with me - I'm tempted to say it's because it doesn't seem to have a satirical point, but that's not the most valid critique considering that the movie seems to be pursuing complete senselessness.
