Review of Forbidden Planet (1956) by Alex M — 06 Oct 2010
30 Days of Horror Day 7:
It may be corny as hell but for 50' B sci-horror it's fucking awesome. Unlike every other atom age film this one delves into actual issues pertaining to humanity and violence. It's also wordy which comes as a surprise to many people who are expecting brainless pop culture.
I also have to add that Leslie Nelson is actually a competent actor and at one point could have become something more than a once great funny man.
I also dig the use of color and over all design if that means anything.
