Review of Forbidden Planet (1956) by Sarah S — 14 Nov 2007

I loved this film as a child and it's still one of my favorites. The beautiful and atmospheric use of the theremin, the desolate landscape of Altair IV, the megalithic stature of the Krell technologies, and the madness of Dr.

Morbius; all of these and more create a first-rate movie where cuts in budget or acting could have easily seen Forbidden Planet relegated to the B-movie bin.
