Review of Forbidden Planet (1956) by Absolom H — 23 Dec 2008
Admittedly, I'm a sucker for 1950s sci-fi flicks, but this one has some depth to go along with the cheese, not to mention solid special effects, a young and dashing Leslie Nielsen (and here I thought all he did was act goofy in the Naked Gun movies), and an obvious influence on later science fiction films, including Star Wars.
