Review of Forbidden Planet (1956) by Trevor W — 23 Jan 2014
Great story, superb score (excuse me, "electronic tonalities"), entertaining robot, takes a long time to develop action, most of the film was "look what we could do in our movie, we are so cool", lame love story.
Side note: A young Leslie Nielsen is in this, playing a completely serious role. It's a bit odd sometimes. But occasionally you hear his signature comedic timing. May he rest in piece.
