Review of For Your Eyes Only (1981) by Hans M — 19 Nov 2008
Moving into position as my favorite Moore Bond, For Your Eyes Only keeps the tone a bit more serious and avoids the over-the-top campiness of Moonraker. I came to this realization during the final scene when Bond is climbing the mountain - there is no music cue and thus the emphasis is left on the shoulders of the actors and the action.
Plus, Topol is great as the Dove.
