Review of For Your Eyes Only (1981) by Sean M — 28 Dec 2008
From the pretitle sequence you can tell this Bond differs from Moore's prior movies, and indeed Connery's post-Goldfinger stuff, as Blofeld's incredible plot to kill 007 is quickly thwarted and Bond finally takes care of him.
This film is realistic and grounded firmly in espionage and the Cold War, making it different from the majority of the franchise. But this doesn't take from the film; Moore's his usual self in an unusual environment, new and inviting.
Pretty good, and a diverse addition to the series.
