Review of For Your Eyes Only (1981) by Ben P — 15 Mar 2010
This Bond outing certainly has a lot of varied action scenes and some of the usual Bond hilarity. At the start of the film I thought I'd messed up the order I should be watching the films in as the film opens with Bond visiting his dead wife's "all the time in the world" grave when suddenly Blofeld who was meant to be dead turns up for a slightly comedic cameo death.
With that business out of the way Bond gets to the business of trying to recover a code machine from a sunken spy ship before felons can get to it and sell it to those pesky Russians. He does this by being in a variety of great stunts and amazing chases including Skiing, driving plenty of underwater shenanigans, evil ice hockey players...and a woman Bond turns down (I know I was amazed too.).
