Review of For Your Eyes Only (1981) by Shane D — 12 Jul 2010
After the sci-fi nonsense of "Moonraker", Bond comes back to earth in a film not all about the gadgets, and although most of it works, the action seems recycled. Ski scenes again, underwater scenes again, boat scenes, and hopping around the world.
The story is a good entry into a big theme of the 1980's: The Cold War against the Soviets. A good entry in Roger Moore's selection, but it is nowhere near "The Spy Who Loved Me"....
