Review of For Your Eyes Only (1981) by Damon V — 30 May 2011
For Your Eyes Only is atypical in that Bond is missing his Batmobile and toothbrush/watch/grenade launcher combo; also missing is a twisted villain hellbent on the most convoluted scheme possible to dominate the world.
Other things make this typical, in that girls fall in love with Bond at first glance, and the plot is still geared toward action sequences. All things said, this Bond outing is simply more different than better than an average Bond outing; if you're a fan of the series, you will definitely enjoy this one; if there are really only one or two Bonds that you care at all for, you may as well pass this one up.
