A rose between to thorns. Considering For Your Eyes was released between Moonraker and Octopussy, were lucky it wasn't as bad as it could've been. It's not Moore's best performance as Bond nor was it his worse.
For Your Eyes Only feels like an attempt at the grittier version Bond we got later on with Dalton, it's sad to think this was the last half decent Bond film of the Roger Moore run.
