Review of For Your Eyes Only (1981) by Vanessa G — 11 Jul 2012
For Your Eyes Only returns the series to form after it's OTT displays of Moonraker. It starts off strong with a cameo from SPECTRE leader Blofeld and the memorable theme song sung by Sheena Easton(who appears in the credits, and quite frankly could have made a beautiful Bond girl.
)Bond mission is to stop some Russian spies and help a young woman(the beautiful Carole Bouquet) avenge her murdered parents. By mid-way it does have a dull stretch in the form of Lynn-Holly Johnson as a young ice skater who is infatuated with Bond.
But overall the action never lets up and the story is intriguing. Great camera work and locales, a good, strong Bond girl(Bouquet would definitely be top ten best Bond Girl.)and Moore in top form makes this Bond entry a winner.
