A beautifully crafted spoof of Hollywood. The same type of incisive, awkward humour that permeates shows like The Office makes this film a gritty trainwreck that inspires both dark humour and genuine sympathy for the protagonists.
Look for the hideously inept producer played by Jennifer Coolidge, who despite the small role gives her most hilarious performance to date.
