It's a movie about all the people in the movie industry. Directors, actors, publicists, critics, etc. None of the characters are three dimensional, which was on purpose, but for most of the movie it's just boring.
It's full of well known actors, which doesn't really help it. It's like they expect the lack of character development to be filled by using celebrities. The music in the film is next to nonexistent.
Further more, the scenes where they are making scenes in the movie are purposely made worse.
