Fucking great film. to watch deconstructively if possible. Hemingway's sublimation of macho fantasies is done by textual ploys, whereas holliwoods sublimation of macho fantasies is done by structural ploys.
when the Hemingway structure is put to film, the structural ploy of Hollywood scripts fails, and the textual ploys of Hemingway writing falters! this is either a sexist piece of crap, or a the peak of macho culture! watch and decide!!!!!
