Review of For the Bible Tells Me So (2007) by Phillip J — 09 May 2009
05-02-09: This was a pretty good documentary that follows 5 different, conservative families and their views/upbringing with the Bible and homosexuality. Pretty good use of showing people quoting parts of the Bible that say homosexuality will lead you to burning in hell (and God hates you), while at the same time excluding the parts that also say eating meat on Fridays and working on a Sunday get you the same treatment.
Like most documentaries, it has the one viewpoint to get across (homosexuality is not wrong) and does so by making the other side look stupid. Still...as long as long you want to watch a movie that tells conservative Bible-toting stupid-heads off, then this is definitely good to see (I actually like the movie, regardless of how the review reads).
