Review of For the Bible Tells Me So (2007) by Liz B — 12 Aug 2011
A very courageous documentary addressing the woes of stoic Christian parents dealing the coming-out of their homosexual children. In one scene, a spiritual leader said that the bible should not be read by anyone because it has been abused for ages to discriminate black people, Jews, and even left-handers.
The theologians also shed light of the interpretation of homosexuality in the bible as "abomination" and the definition of the word used in a fuller context. It suggests the bible neither supports nor disapproves of homosexuality.
As uncomfortable to watch, I choose to believe the documentary because simply if the bible is correct in encouraging discrimination then why we have not seen a single documentary made about it?
