Review of For Love of the Game (1999) by Jeff H — 18 Sep 2007

I don't know what's more preposterous about this movie: that it's a sports/romance flick that actually works, or that it was directed by the Spiderman director (now we know why Spiderman 3 was terrible).

Anyway, this one's kind of a romance movie for guys; it's got the lovey dovey stuff chicks love, but it's disguised by a baseball setting to make it palatable for guys. Oh, and pretty believeable baseball scenes, which is a rarity in sports movies.
