Review of For Love of the Game (1999) by Eric C — 25 Sep 2007
Kevin Costner is a genius. He disguised a chick flick as a sports movie and Billy Chapel is the role he was born to play. He is able to play his usual, somber, tough-guy self and yet remain believable as the washed-up veteran with one more chance to shine.
It is believable enough from the love story side that I would rank it as one of the better chick flicks of all-time.
