Review of For a Few Dollars More (1965) by Scott D — 25 Jan 2009
Sergio Leone raises the bar about ten times for this truly magnificent follow-up to A Fistful of Dollars that blows the first film straight out of the water. Lee Van Cleef is beyond cool, Gian Maria Volonté is a terrific and menacing villain, and Eastwood is, well, Eastwood.
Pretty much Western perfection with beautiful photography and an engaging story. Highly, highly recommended.
