Review of For a Few Dollars More (1965) by Kevin G — 01 May 2010
Even better than I expected. A fantastic story that's so simple, but brilliantly constructed. The Clint Eastwood/Lee Van Cleef team-up is one of the coolest onscreen pairings that I've ever seen.
I like Cleef's character way more in this than his significantly smaller part in the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. This also has probably the most insane and ruthless of the villains in the entire series, which all in all makes this pretty much head to head with the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.
There are just too many awesome moments in this to count. Sergio Leone makes bad ass spaghetti western, action/adventure look like it's easy and the score by Ennio Merricone is maybe at it's most glorious.
