Review of Footnote (2011) by Oren S — 22 Aug 2011
Wow. Absolutely fantastic! One of the biggest triumphs of Israeli cinema. A funny, touching but eventually very thought-provoking and intelligent drama that explores some of my favorite themes in movies: father-son dynamics, loyalty to one's family versus loyalty to oneself, and other gems.
A brilliant (Cannes-award-winning) screenplay and wonderful performances help make this film something really special, and definitely worth checking out!
