Review of Footnote (2011) by Ryan M — 28 Jul 2012
Footnote was nominated for an Academy Award this year as best foreign language film, and for good reason: it's an intriguing drama about the tense and intense relationship between two Talmudic scholars, a father and a son.
The two lead actors are wonderful--adept, completely bringing to life their characters. For a movie about academics, the plot is surprisingly entrancing. The key crisis in the film captivates the audience as we wonder whether it can be resolved and how the characters will react.
