Review of Footlight Parade (1933) by Rami R — 18 Mar 2007
People throw a lot of love 42nd Streets way but to my mind this is truly Berkley's masterpiece. Not only are its musical numbers catchier and even more ambitious but its cast is top to bottom giving better performances (probably just to keep up with James Cagney).
This film's dialogue is as snappy as you could possibly hope for too.
