Review of Footlight Parade (1933) by Trent M — 09 Jun 2008
Great backstage musical with another Cagney/Blondell Pre-Code teaming, but it's Busby Berkeley that brings the film to greatness with 3 back-to-back numbers. Canadian Ruby Keeler is great as the hoofer-turned-secretary and a young Billy Barty can be seen in one of the numbers.
Wholly entertaining stuff.
