The unspoken sexual conflict between the giant rats and the Dean is reminiscent of such timeless love affairs as Titanic's Jack and Kate Winslet, Twilight's Bella and Edward, and the Bible's own Adam and Eve.
Additionally the uncertain demise of the dean is clearly a metaphor for the dangers of swimming pools. 10/10.
