I told my wife after watching this that the next time I go to the supermarket I want to take a look at the organic food aisle. So I did. Unfortunately the price for organic food is much higher than standard food for less food. Tis truly a shame. Because after watching this movie I want to switch off the mass-produced food our country consumes as soon as possible!

Food, Inc, shows just how a great deal of the food in our country is produced. Whether it's chickens in deplorable conditions that have been injected with growth hormones to make their breasts grow so big they physically cannot walk while residing in fully enclosed, windowless, filthy henhouses to cows left in dirt paddocks without a blade of grass in sight all while being fed corn (which is bad for cows... and you and I...) to genetic engineering to all sorts of chemicals and pesticides used to "protect" our food... let's just say while the food we are eating is keeping us alive (for the most part) it's really doing just about as much bad as good. And could potentially be catastrophic for some people, as this movie shows. It truly is an eye-opener. And it'll make you sick.

This movie really opened my eyes. I'd like to switch to organic as soon as we can. Unfortunately I can't afford a 50% jump in food bills. So for now I'm stuck. But at least I'm aware of the issues in our food and will try to take action as soon as I can. I hope you'll watch it, too, so you can learn about this important topic, as well.
